Ana Ivanovic Sony Ericsson Open Miami, USA
As I write this I still feel a lot of frustration regarding my Indian Wells semi-final. I felt like I was playing very well and had a good chance to win it when I became injured. I know it’s part of the sport, and it’s probably the most difficult part!
It’s harder to deal with than losses really, because you feel like you didn’t get the chance to test yourself properly.
Still, there are obviously a lot of positives to take away from this tournament. I really love Indian Wells! It’s one of the tournaments where I always seem to do well and enjoy myself so much.
The tournament is so well organized. I have some friends who sometimes visit and they also love it. If I were a fan and not a player, this is the tournament I would always try to go to, along with the Australian Open.
Playing three top 10 players in a row – Wozniacki, Bartoli and Sharapova – was a lot of fun. I’ve missed that feeling of competing regularly against the top players, but I am confident I will be experiencing it again in the not too distant future. I am definitely moving in the right direction and I think I’m just about top 10 according to results this year only.
Fortunately my injury, a glute strain, doesn’t seem serious and I was told by the doctors that I should be okay for Miami next week. I’ll work hard with my physio over the next few days to do everything possible to get fit.
Assuming I stay healthy, the next few months are full of opportunities for me. I will play five events during the clay court season: I’ve decided to add Stuttgart to my schedule, and the weekend that before I will play Fed Cup in Russia.
This is a historic moment as Serbia plays in the semi-finals for the first time. It will be a tough match but we are all very optimistic.
Love
Ana

Marcus Camby Full Court Crazy Shot
Houston Rockets Center, Marcus Camby, got a rebound of a Sacremento Kings failed lay-up and then because of the time running down, he threw up a hail mary full court shot that ended up going in. The fans of the Houston Rockets’ Toyota Center became ecstatic after witnessing their big man hit a full court shot.
However after further review, the referees would see that the ball was still in Camby’s hands as he released it and as a result the basket wouldn’t count.

Knicks lose Amare Stoudemire indefinitely to back injury
Amare Stoudemire has a bulging disk in his back and is out indefinitely, a damaging blow to the New York Knicks with a month left in the regular season.
The Knicks weren't competitive in the playoffs last year when Stoudemire developed a back problem, and any hopes of even qualifying for the post-season are in jeopardy now that he has another one.
"You don't wish it on any player, especially Amare, who's a big part of what we do," Knicks interim coach Mike Woodson said Monday before the Knicks played the Milwaukee Bucks. "All we can is just hope that it's not as serious as it may be and that he has a speedy recovery."
Stoudemire sat out the fourth quarter of the Knicks' victory over Detroit on Saturday after he said his back tightened up. He said after the game he wasn't concerned and believed he would play Monday.
However, he didn't attend the Knicks' morning shootaround and had an MRI in the afternoon that revealed the injury. The Knicks said he doesn't need surgery and the injury will be treated with rehabilitation.
Point guard Jeremy Lin is also out because of a sore right knee, but Stoudemire's injury is the greater concern.
"He's a big piece of our puzzle," Woodson said. "I mean, we rely on Amare to do a lot of things, scoring and rebounding and playing defence for us."
Stoudemire was finally playing well recently. He struggled for the first half of this season, having not been able to play much during the off-season after injuring his back warming up for Game 2 of what became a first-round sweep against the Boston Celtics.

Greatest Buzzer Beaters in the NBA
The way a game ends will always overshadow what happened the previous 99 percent of regulation play. Whether it is the walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth, the Hail Mary, or even the game winner in a shootout in soccer or hockey; there aren't many emotions that match the euphoria felt when your team wins a game in the final second.
When it comes down to the NBA game winner however, there are few emotions that are created by a sport that can top it. After watching your team grind out everything they could for 47 minutes and 59 seconds to get to one moment that could make or break a season and either watching them miss the game winner and lose or sink it and win, your happiness or disappointment that results from that shot will impact the way you act for at least the next day or two and will be implanted in your memory for the rest of your life.

Chicago Bulls secure Play off 16 games before them
Luol Deng's buzzer-beater in overtime gave Chicago a 102-101 victory over the Toronto Raptors at the United Center on Saturday as the Bulls earned their fourth consecutive win and their NBA-leading 40th of the season Deng made a put-back shot for the Bulls as time expired after James Johnson blocked C.J. Watson's shot. The play was reviewed by the officials to confirm Deng had released the ball prior to the buzzer.
"I saw the light after I shot it, but I still wasn't sure how close it was," Deng told reporters. "Toronto played great. And we just found a way to win."
With the score tied at 100-100, the Raptors (16-33) missed three of four foul shots in the final 15 seconds to give the Bulls their opportunity.
"We had every excuse in the world to lay down and give in to a good team like Chicago," said Raptors coach Dwane Casey, who was without guards DeMar DeRozan and Jerryd Bayless.
"But our guys played with heart and with toughness, and I promised them if we continue to play like that and we get some more guns in, that style of play will win the NBA."
The Raptors charged to a 30-20 first quarter lead and after squandering the advantage early in the second they got their noses back in front 55-50 at halftime.
The Raptors missed three consecutive shots for the win in the final 10 seconds of regulation, setting up overtime.
"They (Raptors) deserved it, They were playing a lot harder than we were," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said.
"I have a problem with the way we played. It's everybody. It starts with me. I have to do a better job of having them ready."
Carlos Boozer led the Bulls (40-10) with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Deng also registered a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
League MVP Derrick Rose missed his sixth consecutive game and the Bulls were without Joakim Noah in the second half after he was ejected for two technical fouls in the second quarter.
Johnson and Jose Calderon led the Raptors with 20 points each and Gary Forbes had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Fernando Alonso and Ferrari 1st win this seasson
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso won a dramatic Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday, giving the Italian team one of its more unlikely victories in its long history.
In a race that was stopped for 51 minutes due to rain, Alonso looked like he'd be overtaken by Sauber's Sergio Perez until the Mexican driver ran off the track with six laps to go, giving the Ferrari enough of a gap to win.
The Ferrari team had been considered to be in crisis after a poor start to the season, but a superb display of wet-weather driving gave two-time world champion Alonso a memorable victory. Perez's second place was Sauber's best-ever race finish.
Pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton of McLaren finished third ahead of Red Bull's Mark Webber and Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen .
"It's an unbelievable result, a great job from the team," Alonso said. "It's a big surprise to win. We were not competitive in Australia and we were not competitive (in qualifying) here."
Perez's delight with his first podium finish was tempered by the knowledge it could have been more.
"Today a win was possible," Perez said. "I was catching Fernando and I knew I had to get him soon because (on) the sectors with high speed I was losing the front tires.
"I touched the curb and I went onto the dirty side of the track. It was completely wet and I lost the win."
Hamilton finished third from pole for a second straight week, but was glad to have avoided the trouble that struck some championship rivals.
"We would have liked to have more points this weekend but I can't really complain -- I'm on the podium for the second race in a row."
Williams' Bruno Senna finished sixth in his best F1 finish, Force India's Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg were seventh and ninth, respectively, separated by Toro Rosso's Jules Vergne. Mercedes' Michael Schumacher took the last point in 10th.
The race finished in gathering gloom at 6:48 p.m. due to the long delay caused by a tropical downpour that started after just six laps.
Immediately after the restart, there was a flurry of pitstops as drivers changed from full wet to intermediate tires, and Alonso emerged in the lead.
He built his advantage to 7.7 seconds by lap 30 of 56 but as his tires began to wear, Perez closed in, cutting the gap to 1.3 seconds before both pitted again to switch to dry-weather tires.
Perez sliced Alonso's lead to just half a second with seven laps to go, but ran wide at the final turn onto the back straight, giving the Spaniard enough breathing space to hang on for victory, 2.2 seconds ahead of the Sauber driver.

Ricky Rubio out 7-9 mounts
The Minnesota Timberwolves do not expect the revelation of a torn lateral collateral ligament in Ricky Rubio's left knee to significantly affect his timeline for a return to the team.
Rubio injured his knee late in a game against the Lakers on March 9. The team initially announced that he tore the ACL when his knee buckled while trying to guard Kobe Bryant.
When Rubio went to Vail, Colo., for his surgery on Wednesday, Dr. Richard Steadman discovered that his LCL needed reconstruction as well. That led some fans to worry that the Spanish point guard who electrified the team would be out even longer.
But after consulting with the doctors and athletic training staff, team officials say the timeline for Rubio's return to the court remains between seven and nine months.

Lebron James is ready to play against Detroit
Lebron told that he was still recovering on Wednesday, one day after crashing into Hill in the final seconds of Miami's win over the Suns. James was on defense and sprinting when he apparently did not see Hill trying to set a screen. Both players tumbled to the court, and James was down for nearly 2 minutes before being helped to his feet.
"I feel good," James said. "I've been better. I'll be better by Friday. But I've been better."
James was appearing Wednesday night at a Miami Heat Charitable Fund event attended by all 15 players, executives including owner Micky Arison, team president Pat Riley, CEO Nick Arison, head coach Erik Spoelstra and some family members. James arrived with fiancee Savannah Brinson, appearing for a few minutes on the white carpet outside the event and spoke with reporters about everything from the NCAA tournament to Tim Tebow's future.
"It's a fun night," James said.
James took two hard falls in Tuesday's win over Phoenix, one in the first quarter where he banged his right elbow, then the more spectacular of the two in the final seconds of the fourth.
Heat guard Dwyane Wade said he couldn't recall seeing James stay down for so long after getting shaken up on the court.
"Not that long," Wade said. "When he was still down, I knew it was something. It was a good hit. But he's fine. He's good. He wasn't out of it. He just got hit pretty good."

LeBron James has re-aggravated his right elbow injury
In Tuesday night’s Phoenix Suns game against the Miami Heat, LeBron James received two really heavy hits and went down on the floor twice in the night.
LeBron James has re-aggravated his right elbow injury which initially became a cause of concern during LeBron James time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and if this was not enough, LeBron James also took a hard hit on the head during play.
"It's the same elbow I hurt in Cleveland so I was a little off, I would say, for the rest of the game," said James. "We'll see the next couple days. I'll come and get some treatment on it. Hopefully doesn't cause any problems."
LeBron James suffered the injury as a direct result of the hard foul made by Markieff Morris, the rookie forward.
At the time it was feared that LeBron James might have suffered a concussion when he went crashing into Grant Hill, though the Miami Heat trainers did let LeBron James return to play after this hit.
"I've never had one of those hits since I've had on pads and a helmet. I don't know exactly what happened," James said. "I had a steal coming and the next thing I know, I was on the floor."
When LeBron James was questioned on a history of a concussion then he replied "No, I'm too tough for that.”

L.A Lakers last minute big changes
Lakers had traded Fisher and a 2012 Draft pick for forward-center Jordan Hill. Though official word of the trade was not imminent, the news seemed to make sense: The Lakers made a trade earlier in the day for Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Ramon Sessions.
The Los Angeles Lakers have traded veteran guard Derek Fisher to the Houston Rockets in exchange for forward Jordan Hill, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Rockets also will receive the 2012 first-round pick the Lakers acquired from the Dallas Mavericks in the Lamar Odom trade.
Fisher, 37, won five championships with the Lakers. He was expendable after the Lakers acquired Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ramon Sessions for Jason Kapono and L.A.’s 2012 first-round pick. While Fisher had remained the Lakers’ starting point guard this season, many of the fourth-quarter minutes were going to Steve Blake.
L.A. may have gotten exactly that by swinging a trade with Cleveland for point guard Ramon Sessions, reports Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com. Also moving to Los Angeles in the deal is athletic swingman Christian Eyenga, who has appeared in just six games for the Cavs this season and has mostly been in the NBA D-League.
The Cavs also will send young wing player Christian Eyenga to the Lakers and veteran forward Luke Walton will be going to the Cavs. The Lakers’ will keep their draft pick this year if they miss the playoffs. As part of the deal, the Lakers also will have the right to swap first-round draft position in 2013 with the Miami Heat’s first round pick, which the Cavs own.

Warriors send Monta Ellis to Bucks in trade for Andrew Bogut
The Golden State Warriors have agreed in principle to trade guard Monta Ellis and two players to the Milwaukee Bucks for center Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson, league sources told .
The Warriors will send forward Ekpe Udoh and injured center Kwame Brown to the Bucks as part of a package for Bogut, one of the NBA’s most talented – but also often-injured – centers. The deal will be officially completed later Tuesday night, one executive involved in the trade said.

For the Orlando Magic, who had hoped to acquire Ellis to bolster the supporting cast surrounding All-Star center Dwight Howard, the trade could turn out to be a blow in their hopes of keeping Howard.
Bucks general manager John Hammond was reluctant to move Bogut without the opportunity to get the unhappy Jackson and the $10 million owed him in 2012-13 off his roster. The Bucks had tried to work a three-way deal with Orlando for Jackson, but ultimately the Warriors relented and took back their former forward, who has a checkered history in parts of four seasons with the franchise.
Jackson helped take the Warriors into the second round of the 2007 players when they upset the Dallas Mavericks, but he demanded a trade from the franchise at the start of the 2009-10 season. The Warriors eventually sent him to the Charlotte Bobcats.
Ellis, 26, is averaging 21.9 points and a career-best six assists this season. He and Udoh were in Sacramento preparing for the Warriors’ game against the Kings when they were informed of the trade.
The Bucks intend to start Ellis and Brandon Jennings in the backcourt together.

LUIS SUAREZ leaves Liverpool?
LUIS SUAREZ dropped a Liverpool bombshell last night by admitting he would be interested in joining Paris St-Germain.
The French giants have targeted the Uruguayan striker, who is interested in linking up with his international team-mate Diego Lugano.
Suarez's future on Merseyside is looking increasingly uncertain and Liverpool will be tempted to sell — although they would want a profit on a player they signed for £23million from Ajax.
Suarez, 25, said: "I would feel supported and helped playing in the same team as Diego. Paris are a big team, the club is becoming what it used to be again."
And asked whether he was keen on joining PSG, he added: "Yes, Paris or other clubs.
"There are a lot of clubs with the same renown, who want to build a good team. Paris are one of those clubs and they are recruiting players to strengthen."
Lugano has already admitted he has asked Suarez to join him in Paris.
Controversial Suarez has endured a troubled season, raising question marks over his long-term future in England.
He was hit with an eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra during a match in October.

Joseph Kony Ugandan guerrilla group leader
Joseph Kony is the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda and one of the most wanted terrorists in the world. He is allegedly responsible for the deaths of thousands and the rape, kidnapping and or enslavement of an estimated 20,000 children. He forces some of these children to fight in his "resistance." Kony and his army have been fighting the government of Uganda for more than twenty years.
Kony's LRA has kidnapped an estimated 20,000 children for use as fighters or sex slaves. As part of their initiation, these children are often required to kill their own parents, so they'll have no homes to return to. (It's not clear which of the Ten Commandments Kony's strategy is based on.) Once kidnapped, children are used as pack mules, carrying LRA supplies until they are too weak to walk, at which time they're killed or simply left to die. Kidnapped boys also serve as targets and decoys, sent to the front lines -- unarmed -- whenever the Ugandan Army engages the LRA. Kidnapped girls that Kony or his senior commanders find attractive become their "wives" (Kony is reputed to have 60). Troublesome captives have their noses, lips, and/or ears cut off, and are then made to eat their own flesh.
Kony and the Ugandan government occasionally issue public statements suggesting that peace negotiations would be welcome, but this seems unlikely. When asked about peace talks recently, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said Kony and the LRA's senior commanders must die. "The wages of sin is death", he added. And that's Biblical, too.
As a youngster, Kony was a Catholic altar boy. Now he says he gets strategic advice from angels. There are eight of these angels, he says -- three American, two Sudanese, two Chinese, and one Congolese.
Kony is reported to enjoy wearing women's dresses. The Ugandan Army has offered an $11,000 reward for information leading to Kony's capture. That's right: eleven thousand dollars.

Dwight Howard Trade:Bad News for New Jersey Netss
Schmitz broke the latest on the D12 sweepstakes via Twitter .
A person close to Dwight Howard tells me, "We want to work it out (in Orlando)." Take it for what it's worth.
This could be disheartening news for New Jersey, to say the least. For the most part, the Nets were considered the favorites to land the best center in the NBA by March.
Brook Lopez spraining his ankle might have been the final straw that broke the camel's back in a potential trade. It made Lopez's future viability even less appealing after he had already missed the majority of the season with a broken foot.
The Nets' centerpiece to the deal for D12 began to look like a liability instead.
It isn't clear just how much Howard is willing to "work it out" with the Magic or if this is a move to buy more time because his preferred destination 's trade package became less desirable to GM Otis Smith.
No matter what he does, Howard certainly won't be signing any extension this season and is still slated to hit free agency this summer. In that case, the Brooklyn Nets would be free to sign Howard and hold onto all their important players that would otherwise be gone had a trade taken place at the deadline.

Tensions between Meta World peace and Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown
Before the start of 2011-12 NBA season, there were queries as to how Los Angeles Lakers new coach Mike Brown would be able to take this team forward and gel with the big ego players?
Lakers eccentric forward Meta World Peace, formerly Ron Artest, who is having a poor season so far openly questioned the coaching abilities of Brown, hinting Brown’s ineffective rotations have been the cause of his below par performance. He also put the blame for Lakers loss against the New York Knicks last Friday on Brown.
"Right now, coach is a stats guy," World Peace said. "His background is video coordinator or whatever. So he's all stats. But Ron Artest is all feel."
Brown did not like the comment much and immediately replied.
"If I were him, I'd be frustrated. I talked to him about it," Brown said. "I said, 'Metta, I don't take anything personally. I'm OK with it. Just be careful what you say to the media in that regard. But if I was a stats guy, Metta, you wouldn't be playing at all. Because look at your stats offensively, and then Synergy says you're the 192nd best defensive player in the league.' "
This all episode fuelled a war of words between both.
Brown, who was given the task of coaching Lakers after the heartbreaking resignation of the legendary Phil Jackson, was always expected to struggle because, coaching one of the elite teams in the league can be a pretty tough job.
Brown has a different approach from Phil and he has made few rotations, playing Devin Ebanks and Matt Barnes as the starters in the small forward position in the first few games and then Metta in the next few outings.
Still in his early days, Brown is trying to adjust and trying hard to find a winning combination, so it is rather unfair to question him so early. Lakers might be struggling to repeat their impressive performances of the past but targeting Brown for the team's follies will bear no result. World Peace should instead try to improve on his shooting.
